Welcome to My Studio!

I’m Sarah, a Southern girl, wife, and mom who has been obsessed with handwriting since I could hold a crayon. While other kids were doodling houses, flowers, and people, I was far more fascinated with the alphabet. I was raised knowing the importance of a timely thank-you note and that ALL occasions call for a handwritten detail. Every holiday dinner included place cards on our family table, no matter how casual. I carry the traditions of pressed linen and silver service with me but translate that into a modern setting to make you and your guests feel special.

I live in Southeast Missouri, with my sweet husband and three kiddos. I have a weakness for chai tea lattes, Kate Spade bags, and reality TV. I’m usually blasting loud music while working on your calligraphy so you can be sure that some sweet sounds are absorbed into the paper!

I love weddings, marriage and all of life’s celebrations, so I feel incredibly blessed to play a small part in yours.

I’m honored to be featured in online publications such as: Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, The Knot, Wedding Chicks, Pretty My Party, and more. I love working with clients from Missouri, the D.C. Metro, and from all over the country!

Why Calligraphy?

Hand-lettered details can have a powerful effect on the tone of your event, adding tradition to a more casual outdoor environment or adding a whimsical touch to a more formal event. For me, though, it all comes down to the feeling you get when the mailman delivers a stack of mail and you see your name—written by hand—peeking out through all the bills and catalogs. Isn’t that always the first piece of mail you open? Since your event invitation is often your guest’s first impression of your event, this is a wonderful way to set the tone and make them feel like they are invited to the event of the season.
